I am a freshman at UCLA with a 4.0 GPA, double majoring in English (with a concentration in Creative Writing) and Classical Civilizations. I am a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and passionate about both academic excellence and community engagement.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Orange Lutheran High School in 2024 with a cumulative GPA of 4.62. I earned the Humanities Academy Pathway distinction along with endorsements from the National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation. During high school, I completed nine AP courses—earning 4s and 5s in AP Latin, AP Statistics, AP Language, AP Literature, AP World History, AP U.S. History, AP Psychology, AP Computer Science Principles, and AP U.S. Government—and maintained straight A’s throughout.
My academic achievements were recognized through several honors, including:
Beyond academics, I am deeply committed to service and leadership. Over the past five years, I have led small groups through my church, tutored at-risk youth, and served children and teens with special needs and foster backgrounds. These experiences have shaped my heart for teaching and honed my ability to communicate complex ideas in clear, accessible ways.
My passion for writing has also led me to co-found The Literary Palette, an online literary magazine created by and for teens worldwide. I attended the Yale Young Writers’ Workshop, served as a writing center tutor at Orange Lutheran, and contributed to the school’s online publication, OLu Muse, for three years.
As I begin my journey at UCLA, I am eager to continue developing as both a writer and educator, while making a meaningful impact in my community.
