I've been storytelling for as long as I can remember, but I first started really writing when I was in 5th grade, and I began doing Youth NaNoWriMo, which I continued until 7th grade. Between 5th and 7th grade, I attended two OCSA Writing Summer Day Camps. I was also a part of my middle school's writing club for two years and continued that trend into high school, where I joined a Humanities academy and began to write for the student-led publication website and for various writing competitions, including the school's King Author Writing Competition and (outside of school) the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, in which I have earned three awards—two silver keys and one honorable mention at the regional level. At school, I have also been a tutor in our writing center where I helped other students revise and edit their essays.
I have been a competitive rock climber for the last seven years. I've competed at the Regional, Divisional, and National level for Sender One Santa Ana's competitive team. Currently, I am ranked 21st in the Nation in the Female JR category for Speed Climbing.
For the past seven years, I have submitted stories of mine to various writing competitions, including the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, in which I have received two Silver Keys and an Honorable Mention. I also write pieces for Orange Lutheran's student publication The OLu Muse as well as write pieces for The Literary Palette, a teen global literary magazine.
I have been a designer for Orange Lutheran's yearbook team for the past four years, an editor for three of those years, and co-editor-in-chief for the last year. I was responsible for designing Orange Lutheran's 2022 Yearbook theme and cover. Additionally, I am a web design lead for a literary magazine that I am a member of—The Literary Palette.
For the past eight years, I've volunteered for Mariners Church and their outreach ministry Lighthouse Community Center in a plethora of different capacities. I have served as an assistant coordinator for the foster child after school program, a small group leader for weekend services for K-1 kids, a guide for Vacation Bible School day camps, a worship leader for the Exceptional Youth ministry, a worship leader for Mariner's Tustin youth, and a tutor for at-risk Hispanic children at the Lighthouse Community Center.

I proactively monitored various sources for potential stories, selected writers for assignments, exercised good editorial judgment, and presented a monthly compilation of pieces at lunch meetings for Humanities Pathway members.

Since 10th grade, I've been part of the Humanities Pathway at Orange Lutheran High School, a program designed to help students discover and refine their strengths, interests, and passions in the humanities. Completion of the program earns students a transcript endorsement and recognition during graduation. As a Staff Writer, I wrote three pieces per semester for the student-run publication, OLu Muse, and submitted entries to school-hosted writing competitions. I also contributed to crafting the pathway's Purpose statement.
Diffusion is a program for international students, fostering cultural celebration, bonding events, mentorship, and integration into Orange Lutheran culture. Diffusion Officers mentor new international students, supporting 1-3 students throughout the school year.
Devoted 6 hours per semester to volunteer tutoring at Orange Lutheran High School, providing academic support and guidance to students.
Participated in 8-10 required events annually, attended weekly lunch meetings, served as the "Face of OLu," assisted parents at various school events, and attended all leadership activities, including Service Day. Additionally, completed a summer leadership training session.
